This weeks challenge: 5 fruit or veg a day.
This week was pretty easy for me as I go way beyond 5 fruit or veg a day, I like to use alternatives to carb heavy mains i.e. potatoes. I love swapping them out for broccoli? I actually tried to make cauliflower garlic bread... Which for anyone who is wondering I spat it out and threw the rest in the bin- I'd give it a miss if I were you unless you're a magician. I used this week to experiment to try and push myself to try new fruit and veg I'd not tried before.
What I've learned?
Cauliflower isn't a veg that I like as a replacement to standard rice/bread, but I've got a new love for sugar snaps, broccoli and parsnips!
End weight: 15 stone 8lb (I went out to eat three times this week which is unusual so I'm attributing the gain to that)

This weeks challenge: 15 minutes of exercise a day.
Let's start by saying I failed this week! Well and truly failed. Tanya and I go to the gym for approx.1.5 hours twice a week. I also work approx. 40 hours a week at between 8-10 hours a day. I think if I had attempted this challenge when there was more light outside during the evenings then I would've found it easier, but trying to muster up the energy to exercise for 15 minutes every evening in the dark was just not something my meagre motivation could handle. I managed to do this a couple of days and even attempted to use a skipping rope- faux pas when I tried to do it without a sports bra.
What I learned from this challenge?
That I'm a lazy flump that can't be bothered to move her butt. No, I'm kidding, but it really puts into perspective my level of fitness. Considering I work on my feet daily and spend time at the gym, I'm really in need of finding something to add into my routine that will help raise my fitness level even just the smallest amount. Any ideas?

This weeks challenge was to go completely vegetarian, ultimately I'm a meat eater but am pretty fussy with the meat that I allow to enter my body- through any orifice, Hence this weeks challenge wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. It's strange to think of things that aren't actually vegetarian, Worcester sauce for example- who knew that this contained anchovies? all in all, it was an okay week. Some of the other guys struggled with it and failed on a couple of days but I managed to stick it out until the end of the week.
What I've taken from this Challenge?
I've actually swapped out some of my choices for vegetarian alternatives to increase the amount of fruit and veg that I'm getting into my diet- but overall, not much change has happened.

Today is part of the 4th week that myself and those that I work with have been doing a little challenge to get to our goal weights, my goal is to lose a total of 28lbs and then to review how I feel within myself.
Each week we're doing weightloss challenges that will hopefully enable us to experience something different from our typical habits and make positive changes to our lifestyle in order to reach our goal.
Week one:
Start Weight: 16 stone 2lbs.
Start BMI: 33.4
This weeks challenge was to drink 2 litres of water daily, this was particularly difficult as I'm not a huge fan of the taste of plain water. I typically drink fizzy drinks i.e. Cola or Dr Pepper, nonetheless I pushed on! It wasn't until around Thursday that I experienced major difficulty, I go to the gym twice a week and Thursday just happened to be one of these gym sessions. I felt bloated and sick due to the amount of water that was swilling around in my stomach.
What I've taken from this Challenge?
Since this challenge, I've struggled to keep up with 2L a day, but I have increased my daily water intake and almost gone cold turkey on fizzy drinks.
